Coopers Dad Ritchie represents NZ at the Olympics!

2016-08-01

Learning Tree Childcare centre is so proud to be able to congratulate one of our father’s, Ritchie Patterson, for being selected to represent New Zealand at the Rio 2016, Olympic Games. Ritchie also attended the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 and in London 2012 where he became a silver medallist.

Ritchie becomes only the second New Zealand weight lifter in Olympic history to attend 3 games, joining the legendary Don Oliver. Ritchie is lifting in the 85kg weight class for weight lifting.

We love having Ritchie’s son Cooper in our centre, a little boy following in his dad’s footsteps. Walking at 12 months with a natural tendency to lift!!!
