Centre Director - Learning Tree
Lynne is a seasoned educational professional with 27 years in Primary Education through to Deputy Principal level and entered ECE in 2008. Lynne is the Centre Director for all Learning Tree Centres.
Lynne set up and managed Lollipops state of the art Highbrook Centre with 150 children, and also established their centre at Half Moon Bay with 100 children before coming to Albany to start the first Learning Tree Childcare centre at the beginning of 2012.
"My profession has always been in Education. I am very passionate about learning and providing children with experiences that will teach them skills in order to become competent, life long learners. I truly believe that children need to be respected and cared for with the same degree of respect that ideally we would give to adults. Hence, I have a passion for the RIE, Reggio and Pikler philosophy and feel that providing quality care and nurture for young children is extremely important. As an educator, I am committed to empowering and supporting children and their families in the transition to school process. I believe children need to experience new challenges, co-operative ventures and have the opportunity to be part of longer term projects.
I now have the fantastic role of leading an amazing team across our 5 Learning Tree sites".
Centre Manager - Westgate
Hello and Kia Ora, my name is Jalaine Armstrong and I am the Manager of Learning Tree in Westgate. I have been in Education for 12 years with a prior background of 14 years in home based Nannying. I have always had a passion for education and the care of children but after having my own family I returned to Tertiary education and obtained a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE). I am deeply inspired by Reggio to develop beautiful environments and safe, meaningful care for our children.
Married, with 3 wonderful daughters and 3 beautiful granddaughters, I enjoy reading, scrapbooking and am an avid quilter. My family and I are involved in Motorsport and enjoy travelling around the country with our car.

ECE Qualified Teacher - Westgate
I have been working in the ECE sector for 3 years now and began my journey at a centre in Henderson. I then won a permanent position at Learning Tree Albany where I began working towards full registration.
I am originally from Croatia and moved here when I was a year old. I have now lived in New Zealand for 22 years and I speak both Croatian and English. I love spending time with my family and friend and travelling and photography.
I am passionate about the education of young children and look forward to getting to know you and your children
